World Book Day

On 7th March we celebrated World Book Day and we had many activities in our school to celebrate this. All children at St.Charles’ got the opportunity to go to Hillhead Library where they were greeted by the staff who read some stories aloud and helped pupils understand how to find books in the library. After that, all the students went on a trip to Waterstones and had the opportunity to spend their World Book Day book token on a novel on offer. Primary 1-3 brought in an object related to their favourite books and they showed it to their class and spoke about their favourite books. On the whole, World Book Day was celebrated happily by the whole of St Charles' Primary and L.C.R! This article should hopefully remind parents about how important reading is and how it should be a priority to engage with their child’s reading.
