School Safety

Visitors to the School

In the interests of safety for pupils and staff all visitors must report to the School Office. The Visitors Book should be signed on arrival and a visitor pass will be issued by our Clerical Staff

Appointments with Teachers

Parents are asked to contact the School Office to make appointments to speak to Class Teachers or the Senior Leadership Team.

Supervision of Pupils and School Security

When the weather is suitable children from all classes go outside to play.

An adult presence is provided in the playgounds at breaktimes under the terms of 'Schools Safety and Supervision of Pupils Scotland' Regulations 1990.

An adult presence is provided by our Support for Learning Workers (SfLWs), all wearing high visibility jackets for easy identification.

Children should be brought to the school entrances on inclement mornings at 8.45. Pupils will then be directed to the cloakrooms to hang up their jackets and bags before being directed to their classrooms. Children remain indoors if it is very wet, very windy or icy.
