Talk Money Week

Talk Money Week is taking place from 6th — 10th November 2023.

Talk Money Week is an annual campaign that encourages people across the country to have open conversations about money and finance. Organised by the Money and Pensions Service, it’s a great way to open up about our finances, ask questions about money, and discuss any worries or issues. Talk Money Week aims to break down these barriers by encouraging discussions about budgeting, saving, investing, debt management, and other financial topics.

As part of Talk Money Week the pupils used the resources from NatWest Money Sense to compare real money with toy money, they were counting notes and coins, matching coins and comparing values. They looked at how they could keep track of money and the importance of a budget.

The big question children will be answering this week is ‘How important is it to understand money?
