Why do we have Digital Leaders?

The Digital Leaders' role it is to support the use and to further the development of ICT in school. A Digital Leader is a leader that is proactive about exploring how information technology (IT) can help oir school become more responsive to our pupils' needs. 

The Digital Leaders

Our Digital Leaders are children with a passion for technology who want to share their knowledge with others and promote the use of all things digital throughout the school.

Pupils can contact the Digital Leaders via the following methods:
  • Pupils can talk to their class representative 
  • Pupils can contact the Digital Leaders by scanning the QR code on the Digital Leaders' notice board
Digital Leader Responsibilities

As a Digital Leader, some of the responsibilities of the role are:

  • Supporting the use of iPads throughout the school to enhance learning.
  • Sharing skills and expertise with other pupils, classes and teachers.
  • Being responsible for taking the photographs of our Leader of the Week children and updating our school display board.
  • Updating and monitoring areas of the school website, including the Pupil Zone.
  • Feeding into whole school decisions about future development of technology.
  • Having a good understanding of how to stay safe with technology and share that with others.
  • Attending occasional staff meetings to train staff.
